Sky Spa

Sky Spa is a wellness spa set on the top floor of a building in Hebei Province, China. The position above the surrounding buildings gives open views of the sky. The facade was renovated with large, minimalist floor-to-ceiling windows made of ultra-clear glass and aluminum alloy, bringing the outdoor scenery inside. Interior walls were removed to form an open layout that supports natural air flow, following the Chinese wellness idea of the flow of chi. The floor curves mimic the movement of the wind on the sand dunes. The reflective ceiling blurs the space limits and reinforces the illusion effect; the floating spheres add a touch of poetry.

Xiamen Poly Tianyue

Xiamen Poly Tianyue is an interior design inspired by the coastal landscape of Wuyuan Bay. The lustre of pearls, the shapes and lines of shells and the movement of waves are condensed into the main design elements. The local Southern style guides the character of the space, while a symmetrical line structure creates a clear sense of order. Patterned floral tiles are combined with the bat totem of Tianyue, and the contrast of black and white supports a simple and elegant effect. A sculptural piano recalls the form of pearl shells, and gold surfaces add a soft reflection.

Carefree

Carefree is a restaurant interior designed for traditional Sichuan cuisine in Chengdu, China. The space covers 1480 square meters and is divided into a refreshment area, a wine area and private rooms. Chinese carved fencing and dim lighting give the refreshment area a secluded feeling. The private rooms are kept plain so that attention stays on the food. A sculpture at the center of the moon gate combines the brand name with ink painting. A wall screen shows plants changing through the four seasons, and bamboo, marble and red brick are used throughout.
