Masstone
Masstone is a fashion boutique interior design in Taiyuan, China. The boutique covers 520 square meters on two floors and is arranged as an inner garden. A large gentle slope leads to the entrance, and a ramp connects to a top platform. Three short stairs add further paths. Ramps, platforms and ladders support runway shows, fitting, sales and leisure use. Materials include anodized aluminum plates, GRG, terrazzo and a steel structure. An automatically irrigated green wall softens the geometry. The concrete structure is left exposed.
Masstone Boutique by Yan Pan was featured as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Masstone Boutique was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
