Full of Life
Full of Life is a residential interior design for a house of 245 square meters in Taipei, Taiwan. The home was originally a roughed-in space beside a greenery park. Enframed scenery was used to extend the interior view toward the park outside. Earth tone materials create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for the family. A large aquarium with plants forms a central feature and guides the flow between areas. The aquarium weighs four tonnes, and its lower brackets were calculated by structural mechanics. Three bedrooms are arranged around the dining room to encourage family interaction.
Full of Life Residential House by Hsien Wen Liu was highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Full of Life Residential House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
