A Touch of Monet
A Touch of Monet is an interior design for a residential apartment in Jiangsu, China. The apartment covers 130 square meters. The design is inspired by the Water Lilies paintings of Claude Monet. White Volakas marble, white lacquered floorboards, brushed bronze-colored stainless steel and leather surfaces fill the space with brightness and movement. The living room is centered on a pond-like carpet that resembles thin tulle floating on water. Layered metal chandeliers recall bubbles rising through water. An abstract painting with blue waves adds further depth to the interior.
A Touch of Monet Residential Apartment by Li Zhang has been highlighted as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
