Tranquil Spring
Tranquil Spring is a residential apartment interior in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The 124 square meter home was renovated for a family of three generations. Water leaks were repaired, the floor was raised to correct its slope, and the exterior wall was mended. The dining area ceiling was divided into three equal sections to work with the central beam, and the space under the beam was turned into storage. Natural stone and wood surfaces were used throughout. A semi-open kitchen and dining area adjoins a glass-partitioned study and piano room.
Tranquil Spring Residential Apartment by Kai-Bo Chen was featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
