Rouge In Wood
Rouge in Wood is the interior design of a three storey waterfront townhouse in Penang, Malaysia. The home covers 4630 square feet and includes a rooftop infinity pool that overlooks the water. Natural stone, wood and greenery give the interior a tropical Balinese character. Local Nyatoh solid wood is used for the panels and the chamfered ceiling, and the timber is kept under strict moisture control. Cement ventilation blocks divide the spaces and add privacy. The design offers a calm retreat away from the busy city.
Rouge In Wood Residential House by Vault Design Lab was identified as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Rouge In Wood Residential House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
