Awakening In Nature
This project brings out the appearance of Oriental aesthetics about landscape using collections of the building materials. While maintaining the texture from natural materials, the installment of the iron pieces enriches the feast for the eyes, from rock to marble, from black iron to titanium plating, and from veneer to wooden table; it is like looking through different lenses to one scenery of landscape. In this project, handpicked French furniture further makes a interesting balance of Western and Orientals.
Awakening In Nature Residential House by Maggie Yu was recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Awakening In Nature Residential House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
