Awash in Comfort
Awash in Comfort is a residential interior design for a 280 square meter home in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The connection to nature is the core theme. The solid wall that once divided the terrace from the living space was removed, blending interior and exterior and offering panoramic views, sunlight and fresh air. An open plan layout links the living room, dining area, kitchen, open study, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A half height television wall and a driftwood shoe bench define the areas. Italian ceramic slabs, driftwood and eco-friendly building materials are used.
Awash in Comfort Residential House by Yun Wen Chiang has been highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Awash in Comfort Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
