Velaria
Velaria is a two-storey private residence in Penang, Malaysia, with a built-up area of 4800 square feet. Open plan zones link the entertainment lounge, bar and dining area, while the master suite serves as a private retreat. Italian marble, walnut and brass create warmth and elegance. A central bar anchors social gatherings, and views towards the pool support a calm, hotel like atmosphere. Custom millwork, bespoke furniture and integrated lighting systems were used. A floating staircase with motion lighting connects the two levels.
Velaria Luxury Private Residence by Linus Saw was selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Velaria Luxury Private Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
