Whispering Silence
This open plan residence is finished in artistic coating throughout: a material that absorbs and diffuses light rather than reflecting it, lending the walls a quiet depth that shifts across the day. Floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to move through the space from morning to evening without interruption. Rounded ceiling curves replace angular transitions, creating a continuity of form that softens movement between areas. The combination of matte surface, generous glazing, and fluid geometry produces an interior where stillness feels structural.
Whispering Silence Residential Interior by ANN TONG has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Whispering Silence Residential Interior was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
