Within the Sunlit Haven

Within The Sunlit Haven is an interior renovation of the ground floor of a 40 year old family residence in Taiwan. The 39.6 square meter space was dim and restricted before the work. The foyer, living room and dining room are joined into one open common area suited to gatherings. Lighting is kept consistent and adjustable to reduce eye strain, and the fixture above the dining table can serve as a reading light. The metal posts of the shoe bench also act as grab bars. Only non-toxic and eco friendly materials are used.

Within the Sunlit Haven Interior Renovation by Erin Guo has been featured as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Within the Sunlit Haven Interior Renovation was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
