Flutter Chapters
Flutter Chapters is a residential interior design for a young couple in Taiwan. The home of 120 square meters was changed from four rooms to three, and one room became a dressing room that enlarges the master bedroom. A wall behind the sofa has a small corner removed to suggest the turning of a page, and an open shelf beside it holds personal objects. Rounded walls and door frames follow a wabi-sabi approach. A kitchen island replaces the dining table for daily use and social gatherings. Solid wood veneers, cabinetry and laminate flooring in earthy tones create a warm atmosphere.
Flutter Chapters Residence by Tsai's Design was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Flutter Chapters Residence earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
