La Galerie
La Galerie is a residential interior design for an apartment of 132 square meters in Taiwan. The 33-year-old home was fully renovated, with all partitions removed and each area redefined. White tones form a gallery-like background for paintings that represent spring, summer, autumn and winter. Curved walls guide movement and support the flow of natural light and air. Wood, recycled metal, stone and fabric are used, and the original aluminum windows were removed and recycled. Private rooms use darker tones such as dark green.
La Galerie Residence by C. J. House Design has been identified as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. La Galerie Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
