Ruilan
Ruilan is a residential interior design for a family home in Taiwan. The home is planned around an open kitchen, which replaced the original closed layout. A central island with a bar top separates the kitchen from the living room and serves as a dining and social area. Dark ceilings, wood veneers and dark laminate walls give the foyer, kitchen and dining room a professional character. A hidden storage area is placed behind the island. Light-colored walls and wood floors are used in the living room and the bedrooms.
Ruilan Residence by Chun-Kai Yang was recognized as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Ruilan Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
