Linkou Pure Land
Linkou Pure Land is a Buddha hall designed for teaching, chanting, and meditation. The hall occupies the basement floor of a condominium building and is divided into a classroom, a reception area, and the main hall. Natural sunlight enters through the stairway from the ground floor. Hollow-patterned walls and glass screens keep the space open, while bamboo landscape windows add a botanical feel. The ceilings carry dimmable lighting that simulates a skylight. Wood tones and concrete surfaces give the interior a calm and pure character. The construction area is 727 square meters.
Linkou Pure Land Buddha Hall by Szu-Wei Lee was recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Linkou Pure Land Buddha Hall received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award which rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
