Solar Serenity
Solar Serenity is a retail interior design for a 50 square meter store inside a department store in Taipei. The design adapts the adobe brick architecture of Santa Fe, New Mexico, so the store appears as a house embedded within the mall. Layered brick forms of varied heights hold the main walls, counters, storage room and changing rooms. Stainless steel counters, windows and tables contrast with the warm brick texture. Horizontal linear lighting strips mark the vertical layers and add depth. Sandstone tones and cactus decorations complete the desert ambiance.
Solar Serenity Commercial Spaces by Yun Chien,Tsai has been selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Solar Serenity Commercial Spaces received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
