Back to One's True Nature, a duplex residence a couple shares with their mother, features a design that maximizes the layout's openness and brightness. Hallways dividing the space are reduced, and the main and secondary flows are configured based on functional needs. Thus the space becomes a container of life centering on its dwellers' daily habits and needs and is divided into the main and secondary domains that encompass both a private area for personal use and a shared section for the family to interact.

Back to One’s True Nature Residential House by Kuo Hsuan Ting was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Back to One’s True Nature Residential House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
