The Grey
The Grey is a residential interior design for a 90 square meter home in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The plan includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a study room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Grey scale materials such as art paint, stainless steel and stone patterns create a calm and stable setting. White and warm-toned leather sofas and wood furnishings soften the grey frame. The layout was rearranged to open the public space and bring sunlight into every corner. Curved ceiling beams add softness to the rigid lines.
The Grey Residential by Kai Yueh Wang has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Grey Residential received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
