Impressions of the City
Impressions of the City is an office interior created for a design company in Taipei City, Taiwan. The project occupies a narrow three-storey building of 70 square metres, with only 22 square metres on each floor. Circulation and structure were rearranged to place the welcome area, meeting room, office area, tea area, dressing room and supervisor office across the three levels. The facade combines white wave boards with stained glass bricks, which protects privacy and still admits daylight. Translucent sliding doors and reeded glass partitions extend views within the small floors.
Impressions of the City Office by Chu Liang Chih has been identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Impressions of the City Office was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
