Suzhou Drainage Museum
Suzhou Drainage Museum is a science museum about sewage treatment, designed with a submarine theme. The interior combines the forms of modern treatment equipment with cockpits, portholes and pipes. Clear circulation routes guide visitors through the stages of water purification, which include precipitation, filtration, adsorption, deep treatment and disinfection. Multimedia devices and hands-on activity areas replace passive presentation. Environmentally friendly materials create a simple and modern visual effect. The museum aims to raise ecological awareness through immersive learning.
Suzhou Drainage Museum Exhibition Hall by WhaleRider Architecture has been recognized as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Suzhou Drainage Museum Exhibition Hall won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
