Past Precious Times
Past Precious Times is an interior design for a private home of 740 square meters. The layout keeps the basic structure of a traditional residence and shortens the distance between people and the indoor setting. Functional areas are joined without clear borders, so the space for shared activity is extended. Large floor-to-ceiling windows on the sunlit facade bring in natural light. Light wood and stone surfaces, carpets, sofas and soft chairs in calm colors reduce visual weight. Suspended lamps and a chandelier define the activity area.
Past Precious Times Private Homes by Changching Chien was selected as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Past Precious Times Private Homes was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
