Eight Bit
8 Bit is an office interior design created for the information technology department of an insurance corporation in Taipei. The pixel theme refers to images once built from eight bit units and echoes the gathering of information. Gradient color carpeting suggests the wave spectrum of information transmission. Colored panels at the entrance spell the company name and can be rearranged for festive seasons. Moveable walls allow flexible layouts and reduce idle space. Whiteboard walls support daily meetings. The project covers about 809 square meters.
Eight Bit Office by Pei Lin Ho was featured as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Eight Bit Office won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
