Yuan Tai Qian
Yuan Tai Qian is a sales center for a residential property in Taoyuan city, Taiwan. The name Qian refers to a hexagram in the I Ching and to the virtue of modesty in Chinese culture. Inspired by the hexagram composition of broken lines, the interior uses linear and geometric forms. Overlapping circles are paired with orderly linear arrangements to create an artistic identity. Wood veneer carpentry and modest colors are used throughout, avoiding many material combinations and easing future removal of the temporary building. The construction area is 500 square meters.
Yuan Tai Qian Sales Center by Mu-Chin Chiang was featured as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yuan Tai Qian Sales Center won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
