Grey with Curved
Grey with Curved is a four-story residential interior located near the sea in Taichung, Taiwan. The living room, dining room and kitchen are arranged on one axis in an open plan, which improves circulation and extends the view. Curved woodwork wraps the beams and structural columns, turning them into rounded forms, and one arc also serves as a display cabinet. Grey mineral paint, wood veneer and marble form the main surfaces. Openings between the wooden pillars and the cabinets guide natural light inside, while dimming roller blinds protect privacy.
Grey with Curved Residential by YuYen Interior Design was recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Grey with Curved Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
