Biguiyuan
Biguiyuan is a residential interior design for a four-storey villa in Shaoguan, China. The home covers about 800 square meters and houses a family of six and a cat. The villa complex is twenty years old and shows Southeast Asian architecture. The interior follows a European classical style, reinterpreted with simple geometric forms in place of traditional columns and arches. Strong black and white contrast, inspired by black and white photography, defines each room. Stainless steel, iron, glass and ceramic tile are used. Feng shui requirements guided the layout.
Biguiyuan House by JINGYI CAI has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Biguiyuan House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
