Nanxiang Bailian
Nanxiang Bailian is a restaurant interior design covering 690 square meters in Fuzhou, China. The interior combines references to traditional Cantonese design with a modern architectural style. Terrazzo is used as the main surface material for its luster and texture. Painted wooden screens add a sense of warmth and enrich the color scheme of the whole space. The indoor lighting uses several groups of point light sources, so that every table is well lit. The number and position of the partitions were adjusted to keep the space open while protecting the privacy of diners.
Nanxiang Bailian Restaurant by Above Space was identified as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Nanxiang Bailian Restaurant won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
