The Wu
The Wu is a private house interior designed for a family of three. The minimalist approach removes unnecessary ornaments and furniture, leaving concise lines and a closer relation between people, objects and space. European lines form the basic elements and appear both curved and straight, dynamic and static. The 145 square meter home holds a living room joined to the dining room, a reading area by the bay window, a master bedroom with bathroom, a child's room and a walk-in closet. Gray walls and a panel wall with a hidden door keep the interior calm and tidy.
The Wu House by Yaoming Huang has been identified as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Wu House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
