Agape and Poliform Flagship Store
Agape and Poliform Flagship Store is a retail showroom in Taichung, Taiwan. The interior uses mainly black, white and gray, so the space stays a calm background for the products on display. Wooden materials add a warm feeling and balance the cool colors. Instead of adding unnecessary decoration, the design uses the old building itself, where many large windows bring in natural light. Lamps and sunlight together create a changing atmosphere through the day. The neutral setting also suits future products, which reduces material waste from repeated redecoration.
Agape and Poliform Flagship Store Showroom by Hao Chen has been featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Agape and Poliform Flagship Store Showroom earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
