Champs Elysees
Champs Elysees is a buffet restaurant interior located in a five-star hotel in Kaohsiung. The streetscape of Paris serves as the design inspiration, creating an elegant and textured atmosphere. A suspended installation of bamboo and old paper, dyed and pasted layer by layer with traditional glutinous rice glue, hangs above the dining area as a visual landmark. Stone, metal, wood grain brick and veneer board are used throughout. The food area is placed in the centre, so walking distances from all seats are equal, and seating ranges from double seats to private rooms for six people.
Champs Elysees Restaurant by OD Studio has been highlighted as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Champs Elysees Restaurant won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
