Lead Washed
Lead Washed is a residential interior design for a 95 square meter home in Taipei. The design uses a reduced palette of greys to create a calm and solemn base. Cement surfaces and simple points, lines and planes shape the rooms. A single continuous surface with soft ripples and an oversized mosaic of old pieces behind the dining table add depth to the interior. A blue velvet sofa and metallic dining chairs bring a quiet luster. Light and shadow are used to make the plain materials interesting.
Lead Washed Residential Space by Yun Yih Interior Design Company was recognized as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lead Washed Residential Space was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
