Refreshing in Grace
Refreshing in Grace is a residential interior design covering about 165 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The layout was planned around the owner's preference for blue tones and the need for large storage. Light-colored wood veneers with simple textures are combined with white surfaces and system furniture boards that resemble sandstone. The television wall is finished in natural stone with dark colors and irregular white patterns. Peacock blue and orange coffee tables add contrast. An integrated system above the ceiling controls temperature, humidity and ventilation.
Refreshing in Grace Residential Space by Jung-Chieh Cheng has been highlighted as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Refreshing in Grace Residential Space was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
