Smart Wall
Smart wall is a residential interior design project carried out in Changsha. Two inclined walls with folding lines narrow the view of a relatively large stairway and screen the dining area, leading guests directly to the living room on the left. A partition wall was added between the hallway and the dining area, and the stairway direction was turned to the left. The existing aisle was renovated to widen the projection wall in the basement, so the viewing distance became normal. The result is a clearer layout with improved circulation and several functions.
Smart Wall Residential House by Li Lang was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Smart Wall Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
