Sapphire
Sapphire is a residential interior design for a home in Taipei, Taiwan. The floor area is about 83 square meters and includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The original three-bedroom layout was changed into a two-bedroom plan to enlarge the shared areas and improve the social function of the home. Blue tones and fair-faced concrete are combined with oak, teak, wood veneer, tiles and metal. Clean lines, smooth circulation, hidden storage and customized furniture create a calm and spacious atmosphere.
Sapphire Residence by Shih-Ming Liu has been identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sapphire Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
