Jingyin Nanshan
Beijing Jingyin Nanshan is a resort hotel interior located in a rural area near Beijing. The hotel covers 1600 square meters and serves families, group events, parties, weddings and photo shoots. Private hot spring baths and a swimming pool bring water into the design. The courtyard layout is inspired by diamond cutting. White minimal volumes recall the traditional sloping roofs of local villages. Metal wave plates reflect the surroundings and form layered images. Concrete roofs, red brick, stone and wood from the original site remain visible.
Jingyin Nanshan Hotel by Shuai Li has been identified as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Jingyin Nanshan Hotel was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
